Our new building and facilities

Our fantastic new building has been designed to deliver excellence for sixth form students. Set over four floors, every room and teaching space has been specifically designed to ensure that staff and students can both teach and learn with plenty of space, alongside the highest quality resources. We have also creatively designed and landscaped our outsides spaces for students to access and enjoy the different areas that will be available. Here are just a few highlights of what our building offers:

Ground floor

  • a state-of-the-art music teaching space and music practice rooms
  • a drama studio, an activity studio, our huge main hall (with staging) and a dining area that leads to an outside amphitheatre
  • outside seating areas

First floor

  • Graphics room, CAD/CAM room, media suites, art suite
  • fitness studio/sports space
  • large general classrooms

Second floor

  • ICT suites, computing suite, business suites
  • large library with quiet study and careers spaces
  • large general classrooms

Third floor

  • large science laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology
  • science lecture space/studio
  • a further study area
  • a ‘green roof’ space for student horticulture.

All our classrooms and spaces have a real sense of space and light throughout the building. You will be able to see this from our Open Evening videos and walk throughs which will be added soon.
