Harris Clapham Sixth Formers are amazing: Students’ behaviour is impeccable. Students attend well, work hard in lessons and are polite in their interactions with peers, staff and other adults.

We liked this: Leaders have a clear vision for the curriculum they offer which is designed to help young people from areas of deprivation to gain the skills, character qualities and qualifications that they need to succeed in adult life.

We're delighted to be able to say that, following the Ofsted visit last term, Harris Clapham Sixth Form is OFFICIALLY Outstanding (sixth forms still get a one work judgment)

Year 13 assembly and Mr Handscombe repented of his last, male-dominated, effort and tried to string a sequence of women together. Ella Fitzgerald, Bonnie Greer, Joan of Arc, Lakhsmibai of Jhansi, Lupita Nyong'o all "seamlessly" segued.https://t.co/2N3sP5usXM

Today's Year 13 assembly was on the difficulty of making choices and the importance of taking opportunities whilst they are here. There is a tide in the affairs of sixth-formers which, taken at the flood leads on to fortune...https://t.co/Izx5nQ7o9O

Prevention of Bullying

Our ethos emphasises the 3C's of courage, confidence and commitment. Part of this means we are respectful to everyone. We do not tolerate, encourage or engage in any bullying, whether this student to student or staff member to staff member.

It is important for us that everyone can work and learn in a safe and secure environment. Bullying of any kind is unacceptable in our Academy.

We do not tolerate any form of sexual harassment or sexual violence. Our personal, relationships, social and health education (PRSHE) policy and curriculum outlines how we educate students on staying safe, healthy and ready for life in modern Britain. This also includes a wide range of ways for students to develop and foster healthy relationships. To access this in more detail please click here.

When any member of staff suspects any bullying behaviour then they must act. We also expect students to support each other so:

Is another student making you unhappy/ feel bullied?

Is someone else being bullied/mistreated by someone?

If so, we do not turn a blind eye, be a bystander or provide an audience for a bully.

It is really important that everyone takes action immediately. Do not ignore it and hope that it will go away.

Speak to a member of staff and tell them what is happening. Put a note in the suggestion box and a member of staff will make contact with you. Speak to someone at home who can then tell a member of staff. Log your concern using this link: info@harrisclaphamsixthform.org.uk
