Teachers very effectively assess what students know and can do at the start of their A-level programme. They use these assessments well to identify gaps in students’ understanding from GCSE studies, before moving on to A-level topics.

Teachers provide very effective extra help for students who need it, for example through support workshops and additional revision sessions. As a result, students, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make good progress

Leaders have developed an exceptionally effective safeguarding curriculum. Staff recap topics regularly over the two-year programme. As a result, students remember what they learn about how to keep themselves safe.

Teachers are highly qualified and have excelllent subject expertise.

There are specialist programmes in place for... those seeking to go into specific careers, such as medicine.
