Norton Rose Fullbright Trip

20231130 153921268 iOS

This week, 11 students went on a trip to the law firm Norton Rose Fullbright. Here they had talks from various different people from within the firm. They learnt how to make a good application and were also given a tour of the building. The day culminated in students giving a presentation to a panel of lawyers. Students did the school proud by presenting  with confidence. They were able to articulate their ideas to a high level and answer tricky questions from the panel.

Haleema (Y12) writes: The trip to Norton Rose Fulbright was very engaging and informative as we got to meet and interact with various types of lawyers and learn about the profession, especially meeting someone near our age who works there was inspiring. Participating in activities like presenting which has consequently impacted my presentation skills as I was judged by professionals in a law firm who acted as a panel and received valuable feedback, exactly how it would happen in a law firm. Additionally, I specifically learnt about the history and function of Norton Rose Fulbright, their community impact, commercial awareness, a range of seats in the law firm, and the available opportunities for persons our age and older. Furthermore, the staff were very lively, friendly and encouraging, which made me feel welcomed and also all the facilities were very nice and some were technologically advanced. It was such a great experience to be in a workplace and see what actually occurs everyday for myself to get real insight. I would definitely recommended students attending trips like this as it is a very interesting and rewarding experience.
