"The past year has been hugely challenging in more ways than one but I am so proud of what I have achieved. My teachers at Harris Clapham Sixth Form went above and beyond to help me catch up and devoted a lot of their time to supporting me. I am incredibly grateful to them."

Talk the Talk Workshop

Last week, Year 12 students took part in the Talk the Talk workshop, designed to help them build important skills for their future careers.

The workshop focused on developing employability skills, improving interview techniques, and enhancing presentation abilities. Students had the chance to practice interview questions related to their areas of interest, learn from industry experts, and make connections with potential employers. It also aimed to boost their confidence and prepare them to feel more comfortable
in professional environments.

“During the workshop, I found myself recalling past experiences and commitments, and by the end, was able to assuredly talk about the skills and qualities I’ve gained from them. Also, through the mockinterviews, I learnt how to conduct myself with confidence to potential future employers, and answered questions by my peers, and reflected on feedback given.”

- Sabrina A, Year 12

“I was lucky enough to take part in the Talk the Talk workshop, which was an event where we mainly focused on honing our communication skills - such as posture, hand gestures and body language. We took part in mock interviews to be able to gain an insight into the types of questions you could be asked when applying for a job or even a place in a university (for your chosen course).
This was beneficial in many ways, even being a confident booster for most - but most importantly it was an opportunity to guide students into the career they are most interested in and would like to pursue, even if they are still quite unsure.”

- Zamzam A, Year 12
