Entry Requirements

Applicants applying to Harris Clapham Sixth Form will be required to attain the following GCSE results for entry to courses and subjects. 

Course Level 

Requirements 

3 A-Levels 

Seven grades 9-5 in full course GCSE subjects. 

3 A Level/Vocational Level 3 Combination 

To take one A-level and either a double or two single vocational awards, students need at least five 9-4 grades including at least three at grade 5+. To take two A-levels and a single vocational award, students need at least five 9-5 grades. 

Vocational Level 3 

Five 9-4 grades at GCSE or equivalent, with at least a Merit or grade 4 in a relevant vocational qualification or GCSE. Vocational Science requires at least 5/5 in double science. 

Additional information 

A Levels require at least a grade 6 in a relevant GCSE subject; (6/6 in a dual award) except for Maths and Chemistry where a grade 7 is required. Physics requires a grade 7 in Maths and Further Maths a grade 8.  

For an extended writing A-level subject, students will need at least a grade 5 in English Language.

All students require at least grade 4 in English Language and Maths.
