Activities, Clubs & Trips

Our Sixth Form offers a vibrant and diverse range of societies and clubs, most of which are created, led, and run by students themselves.

This student-led approach empowers individuals to pursue their interests, develop leadership skills, and shape the enrichment opportunities available to the whole Sixth Form community.

With the support of our dedicated teachers and the Student Parliament, students are encouraged to launch new societies, organise sessions, and take ownership of their activities. This ensures that our clubs reflect the interests, passions, and ambitions of our students.

Currently, our societies include:

  • Model United Nations
  • Law Society
  • Debate Society
  • Podcast Society
  • and STEM Society

All sessions are planned and delivered by students. Whether you want to explore a future career path, develop new skills, or meet like-minded peers, our societies provide a dynamic and supportive environment in which to thrive.

"I'm very excited for Leeds and I'm so happy I went through clearing. I'm excited for the future and I feel like everything has worked itself out."

Jason

"The teachers were the best thing about sixth form. Miss Heuston and Miss Eldridge are amazing and without them I wouldn’t have got through it."

Anas

"I feel really great and proud of myself that I made it through. It took a while, but I'm glad that I persevered until the end."

Zuha

"I'm really proud that I pushed myself. My advice would be to revise early, and that it's okay to not know what you want to do or to change your mind."

Michaela

"The pastoral care is excellent: Harris Clapham Sixth Form goes beyond the academic to teach us about how to move into adult life and be a voice for our communities."

Mary

"The opportunities here go beyond the academic curriculum. The careers opportunities are fantastic. Students can explore so many paths to university and employment here."

Ammar

"I’m so proud of myself and so thankful for my teachers. I didn’t believe in myself, but teachers believed in me and pushed me to believe in myself."

Mary

"My teachers helped me a tremendous amount with my Medicine application by hosting mock interviews."

Nikolas

"HACL feels like home and there is so much diversity. There are so many people I can talk to."

Demi

"The best thing about HACL6 is that you are independent, you are your own person and it provides a great stepping stone to your next destination after you finish school."

Keisha

"Everyone in this school is here to support one another and you have people to lean on."

Tianna

"My teachers are very welcoming and they help me every step of the way."

Suhayla

"The Cultural Perspectives programme is great, because you get to do new and different things outside of your subjects, and it is a great way to make new friends."
