Curriculum Overview

Whether your next step is a Russell Group university on an elite course such as Medicine or Law, a competitive apprenticeship, or a specialist career, we provide an extensive choice of A Levels and vocational courses through our three pathways.
Alongside success in your chosen subjects, our curriculum will help you gain and grow essential qualities as a young person that will benefit you for the rest of your life.
The key qualities of Confidence, Courage and Commitment are developed both through your subjects and also our extensive range of extra-curricular activities and opportunities. All these help to build what we call the Clapham Character.
Over two years, you will explore new ideas and face challenges that build courage, resilience and integrity. You will also be encouraged and challenged to do your best, meet your commitments, and respond positively to feedback.
Leadership is central to the Clapham experience. All students are expected to take on leadership in some area of school life – from Student Parliament to sports teams, there is a role for everyone.
Our Year 12 Cultural Perspectives programme will take you beyond your subjects and into the wider world of ideas, making learning exciting, empowering and enjoyable – and about far more than just exams.
Our tutor programme, including assemblies and personal, social and health education, supports students as they build commitment and resilience. Over the twenty-two months of a Harris Clapham Sixth Form education, students are guided and supported as they prepare for adult life.

"My teachers really supported me with revision plans, I couldn't have done it on my own. I would say believe in yourself and have confidence. You will get the grades you want if you do try."
"The best thing about studying at Harris Clapham Sixth Form is the community. Everyone is here to support each other. You have great friends who support you and help you through."
"One of the best things about studying here is the Cultural Perspectives courses. You get to do new and different things outside of your subjects and it is a great way to make new friends."
"Harris clapham Sixth Form feels like home and there is so much diversity. There are so many people I can talk to. The teachers make it known that they are there for us."
"The teachers were the best thing about sixth form. Miss Heuston and Miss Eldridge are amazing and without them I wouldn’t have got through it."
“Take it one step at a time,” says Thierno, after achieving outstanding grades of AAB.
