Student Leadership

Leadership and communication skills are essential for success both in and beyond the classroom, helping students to collaborate effectively, make decisions, and inspire others.
In Year 12, students have the unique opportunity to put these skills into practice by running for positions in the Student Parliament. This involves planning and leading an election campaign, presenting their ideas to their peers, and engaging the academy community, providing real-world experience in leadership, teamwork, and persuasive communication.
Successful candidates will hold their positions until the end of Commitment 2 term, applying their skills to make a meaningful impact throughout their term.
What does our Student Parliament do?
Our Student Parliament plays an active role in academy life, organising fun House Days that celebrate the values of each house, as well as coordinating fundraisers for local and national charities. They also host assemblies and run a variety of student-led societies, providing opportunities for students to explore their interests and develop new skills.
Currently, these include the Law Society, Model UN Society, Debate Society, and Female Empowerment Society, with more opportunities for students to create and lead new initiatives. Find our more about our clubs and activities.
