SEND Support
Meet the SENCo
Ms Jacklin has been the SENCo at Harris Clapham Sixth Form since 2023. She is hugely motivated by supporting SEND students and has a deep belief in the importance of inclusive education. This view is shaped by her own personal journey, having been diagnosed with dyslexia and dyspraxia at a young age.
Having studying Politics and Anthropology at university, Ms Jacklin also enjoys teaching students politics. She is usually found in the SEND office on the second floor. The SEND office acts as a quiet place for support and study away from the busyness of the Harris Clapham Sixth Form corridors.
Ms Jacklin can be contacted by email at o.jacklin@harrisclaphamsixthform.org.uk.
Our offer - equal respect for all
We are committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for all pupils, without exception. We believe that every student has the right to achieve their maximum potential and to be treated with equal respect at all times.
Letting us know your needs
For the majority of students joining the Sixth Form, SEND will have already been identified during their secondary schooling. If this is the case, they should identify this on their application form and bring evidence of this with them on enrolment day and notify Ms Jacklin, SENCo, as soon as possible on o.jacklin@harrisclaphamsixthform.org.uk.
If you feel you have barriers to learning which have not yet been properly identified, then please get in touch with Ms Jacklin, SENCo, directly.
Transition support - download our transition pack
Leaving secondary school and starting Sixth Form can be both exciting and daunting. It can involve a different journey to school, meeting new people, getting used to new environments and a change in routines.
Our Transition to Sixth Form pack is designed to help you manage some of these challenges and includes advice about how you can access support, to make the most of your time at Harris Clapham Sixth Form.

Local authority - Local Offer
Information on the Lambeth Local Offer can be found here.
The Information, Advice and Support Services Network (Lambeth IASS) offer independent advice and support to parents and carers of all children and young people with SEND. Details of the support offered to parents and students can be found here.
For parents who are unhappy with the Local Authority or Academy responses to their child’s SEND, parents may seek mediation from the regional mediation services. Information on this free service is located here.
Parents and carers can also appeal to the Government’s SEND tribunal if you disagree with the Local Authority decisions about your child’s special educational needs. You can also appeal to the tribunal if the Academy or council has discriminated against your disabled child. Information on this process is available here.
