Our comprehensive careers programme will equip you with the skills, knowledge and experiences you need to make informed decisions about your future study and career.

Whether you have a clear career goal in mind, or are still considering your options, we will help you explore possibilities and help you make the right decisions for you.

Our careers programme ensures that you are fully prepared for higher education, apprenticeships, or direct entry into the workforce. Below are just some of the ways we can support you.

Careers talks - inspiration and information

Careers talks are a cornerstone of our programme, offering students direct exposure to professionals from industries such as Law, Civil Service, Medicine, Finance and Transport. These talks will inspire and inform you about real-world career paths, helping you understand the roles, responsibilities and pathways into each field. You will meet people from organisations such as the Bank of England and Transport for London, and law firms such as Joelson and Forsters LLP.

University trips and subject conferences

We organise exciting trips to universities and subject-specific conferences, giving you a real taste of what academic life is actually like. You’ll get the chance to explore campuses, sit in on real lectures, and chat with current university students and lecturers about their experiences. Highlights include the QMUL Futures Programme and our visit to Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge – amazing opportunities to see what studying at university is really like and imagine your life beyond school.

Events like the Olympia Careers Fair and the What Uni and What Career Fair will help to broaden your horizons and make informed decisions about your future.
