Oxford Sucess!!
Nicholas joined Harris Clapham Sixth Form at the start of Year 13. Joining half way through the Sixth Form meant he had to start his A Level courses again and condense his learning into just one year. Despite the upheaval of moving schools and supporting his dad who had been diagnosed with cancer, Nicholas has secured a place to study History at St Peter's College, Oxford.
This makes Nicholas the first student from Harris Clapham Sixth Form to attend the UKs oldest university, and one of the top universities globally.
Nicholas said:
"The past year has been hugely challenging in more ways than one but I am so proud of what I have achieved. My teachers at Harris Clapham Sixth Form went above and beyond to help me catch up and devoted a lot of their time to supporting me. I am incredibly grateful to them.
"I have really enjoyed my time here and have made some great friends. It was definitely worth the long journey every morning and I feel so well prepared for my university course. It's always been my ambition to go to Oxford and I can't wait to get there and start my course."
We're incredibly proud of Nicholas and wish him the best success in the future.
